What is
Path-J?

PATH-J (Public Awareness Through Journalism) is a student-led initiative that empowers middle and high school students to explore journalism through real-world learning.

Built on four pillars—Learning, Access, Practice, and Civic Engagement—PATH-J teaches students how news is created, how to think critically, and how to tell meaningful stories with integrity.

Through workshops, a collaborative newsroom, and curated opportunities, students develop their voice, engage with their communities, and publish work that matters.

70%+ of youth struggle to distinguish fact from opinion (OECD)

60%+ of teens get news from social media (Pew Research Center)
